A softer approach to children’s clothing

Pippa & Pluk was created from a desire for something slower, softer, and more thoughtful.

As a Dutch mother living in Australia, I often found myself missing the calm and natural approach to children’s clothing I grew up around in Europe — timeless pieces made from natural fibres, designed for layering, everyday wear, and real childhood.

Not fast fashion.

Not trend-driven collections.

Just beautiful essentials chosen with care.

Pippa & Pluk brings together trusted European brands, natural materials, and a slower way of dressing children — thoughtfully curated for Australian families.

Why we started Pippa & Pluk

Like many parents, becoming a mother changed the way I looked at almost everything.

I became more conscious of materials, quality, comfort, and what truly touches our children’s skin every single day.

I found myself drawn back to the kinds of clothing I trusted growing up in Europe:

soft organic cotton, breathable merino wool, timeless colours, and pieces designed to last beyond one season.

The more I searched for these brands in Australia, the more I realised how difficult they could be to find.

Pippa & Pluk began as a way of bringing those trusted European essentials to Australian families — brands and pieces we genuinely use and love ourselves at home with our own children, Louis and Phoebe.

How we choose our brands

Every brand at Pippa & Pluk is selected intentionally.

We look carefully at:

  • natural fibres
  • craftsmanship
  • comfort
  • durability
  • ethical production
  • and trusted certifications

We are especially drawn to brands using materials like organic cotton and merino wool, alongside certifications such as GOTS and IVN BEST.

These certifications matter because they help ensure higher standards around materials, production methods, environmental impact, and transparency.

Children live in their clothing. Babies sleep in it, toddlers play in it, and parents wash it endlessly. We believe these everyday pieces should feel soft, breathable, comfortable, and made with care.

That is why we are proud to stock brands like Gray Label and Engel Natur — brands trusted throughout Europe for their quality, simplicity, and thoughtful production.

Bringing European essentials to Australian families

One of the things we love most is sharing a more European approach to dressing children.

A wardrobe built around:

  • layering
  • natural fibres
  • comfort
  • movement
  • and timeless design

We believe children do not need overflowing wardrobes filled with fast-changing trends.

Instead, we focus on versatile, high-quality pieces that work beautifully together and can be worn, loved, and passed on.

Soft cotton basics.

Warm merino wool layers.

Protective wool fleece outerwear.

Pieces made for everyday life.

Wrapped with care in Melbourne

We believe the experience of receiving an order should feel special too.

Every Pippa & Pluk order is carefully wrapped by hand in Melbourne using tissue paper and our signature red bow — packed almost like a gift.

Because these pieces often become part of everyday family memories:

a first outfit, a favourite cardigan, a well-loved overall passed between siblings.

In a world where shopping can feel rushed and impersonal, we wanted to create something slower and more thoughtful — both in the products we choose and the way they arrive at your door.

For everyday childhood

At the heart of Pippa & Pluk is a simple belief:

Children deserve clothing that feels comfortable, natural, and made with care.

Clothing soft enough for babies, practical enough for play, and durable enough to last through everyday childhood.

Thank you for being here and for supporting slower, more intentional shopping for children.
